TAFE Counsellors are available to assist enrolled students with educational, personal, vocational and course selection requirements. Prospective students can also access TAFE Counsellors for vocational and course selection purposes. To contact your local TAFE Counsellor, select the campus from the links below. Some of the reasons you could see a TAFE Counsellor are:
Educational - planning courses, assisting with study problems or exam anxiety, coping with learning difficulties, and stress management.
Vocational - planning for educational and career goals, assessing career direction, providing information about other educational institutions and assisting with job seeking skills.
Personal - helping with a range of personal issues including family, social life, financial, legal and health matters, and information about community resources and government agencies.

TAFE Counselling & Careers are using technology to make their services more accessible. Students now have the option of talking to a Counsellor via a video conferencing unit located in a private room on each campus. It’s like a phone call but with the added advantage of being able to see who you are talking to. It will be particularly useful for those campuses without a resident counsellor and to cover times when a counsellor may be on leave. Contact your campus administration to make a booking. Counselling & Careers also has an Adobe Connect room which can be used to chat to a Counsellor or access study skills sessions. |
