Location

General Education & Equity Services Disabilities Unit operates from two locations within the New England Institute: Tamworth Campus in R Block on Janison Street, and Armidale Campus in G Block, corner of Rusden & Allingham Streets. There is public transport available to each of these campuses and accessible car parking is available.

Learning Environment:

The Unit offers a friendly learning environment with professional Teacher / Consultants, offering specialised educational support skills in each area of disability. We offer a range of courses where the student can join a mainstream class or have a course structured to suit the individual (Green -Remove)

Students can be assisted in a number of areas including:

Tutors / Learning Support
Interpreters
Notetakers
Assessment support
Access to assistive technology
Access to facilities.
