Mandatory Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) has been introduced to ensure
NSW has a professional home building industry
capable of keeping pace with change. Builders,
Supervisors and Contractors are required to
accumulate a specified number of points over a
three year period. TAFE NSW - New England
Institute offers the following programs through
interactive on-line learning.
This means you do the course in your own home
over the internet in a two (2) hour session with
other builders and the trainer. You will be able
to actively participate in this session and ask
questions for immediate feedback. At the end of
the session you will do a small multiple choice
assessment and an evaluation of the program –
then print out your Statement of Completion with
your allocation of points.
Remember 4 points per session!!!

All sessions will be conducted from 6.00 – 8.00
pm on these dates.
The session topics below have been identified as
important for CPD by Fair Trading. Our session
material, whatever the topic, will be relevant
to today’s builder.
Most CPD sessions will include content from the
Building Code of Australia – Volume 2 and its
referenced Standards and Codes.
